I'm up and running again!
I'm up and running again!
I walked past a large, spotless black SUV which was parked outside a hotel in downtown Minneapolis.
I laser-printed sign taped on one of the windows read "Dr. Frater."
"Latin for brother," I thought to myself. "Sounds like an alias."
If you're a fan of Laurell K. Hamilton's books and just can't wait for the imminent release of Incubus Dreams, there is a Yahoo! Group called LKH_IncubusD just for you. And me, frankly.
NetherCraft Statuary has some beautiful, original medieval styled statues, fountains, and scultpures that look as though they're made from stone. A lot of the work is available for sale. I wish more of it was.
I'm filing this one for future reference because I haven't been there yet, but CalabashMusic has $.99 music downloads and a free sampler available. I intend to start with the sampler and go from there.
In the fine tradition of three-syllable automotive publication names like Auto Week, Motor Trend, and Road and Track, there is now a new media publication called Autoblog. It's got lots of new news about cars. Fancy that.
I finally found a good RSS reader for my Pocket PC. It's RSS Sync.
I love it because it's much faster than using AvantGo (when syncing). But, unlike AvantGo, the entries are truncated. I wish I had control over that one aspect, since the reason I use a pocket pc tool is to read offline and it's not possible to follow a link to the website. The advantage over AvantGo is that you get just the content.
It requires Windows Mobile 2003 and Activesync 3.7.
Although eHomeUpgrade is not updated as frequently as some of the sites I read relentlessly, I do hit this one once a day now. I enjoy the technology reviewed there.
It's a little creepy, but so ephemeral. Magic little vignettes created in 3D. Take a look at the art of Ray Caesar.

A friend of mine sent me this link about piercing. It came from a discussion about Olympic athletes in the classical age. Some of it may not be for the squeemish.
I give you: The History of Piercing
Techdirt, to be exact. Thank you, Michael. He says it's "more useful for straight industry news with much less of the sychophant intolerance for anything not FOSS."
I believe him.
I have installed MT 3.1
Although... I still haven't got the new subcategories piece working yet. Hopefully I can figure that out here shortly.
UPDATE:
Oh yeah! It works!
Nothing like a clean rebuild. Takes a lot of time, but God it works great!
